M1 - Piling... Almost Done. |

Pictured above, adorning our NEXTDC-branded safety vest and helmet is our Executive Deputy Chairman, Mr Ted Pretty. In case you missed it, Ted was appointed as a director of NEXTDC from 1st of April 2011. Ted is well known for his vision, leadership and reputation as one of the most successful Information Technology & Telecommunications (IT&T) executives in Australia. His lengthy experience and depth of understanding of the Australian IT&T and Investment Banking sectors is well known.
Ted was visiting the M1 construction site on Thursday to check out the progress. With over 300 piles having been driven into the ground, that equates to over 13.5 kilometres of piling concrete. We're in the final stages of piling and we've moved on to the next stage of construction/development. Next week we look to commence piling to the office area and importing fill to excavated staging rooms and the ground floor.
Here's a photo of the construction site as is. M1 is about to look like a building. We're at the stage where we're looking at what kind of furniture will be at our site office.
