Because we want to keep you up to date with everything that's going on at our data centres, today we're showing you one of the less glamorous areas, the loading dock. We have been busy installing the dock levellers which move in and out and up and down to allow for trucks of any size to unload their cargo with ease.

These photos show the levellers being installed into the two loading docks which will allow two deliveries to happen simultaneously. The loading docks are accessed via their own truck-friendly driveway and have a secured entrance directly into the staging area of the data centre. Because the delivery area has a separate entrance to the rest of the facility it means that all deliveries can be part of a streamlined process with minimum hassles for our customers.

The blue levellers shown in these photos come from a local Australian company called Tieman who design and build a number of industrial products. The levellers utilise hydraulics to provide maximum flexibility for our customers when getting their IT kits delivered to the data centre.
