We realise that some of you may not have been lucky enough to go for a tour through our B1 data centre in Brisbane. That's why today we are having a look at some of the areas of the facility that we haven't included in the blog in the past.

In the photo above, you can see the funky lights and infrastructure in our cross connect room which is visible from the B1 meeting room.

All of the meeting rooms in our data centres across the country will be fitted with Telepresence technology so that our customers can connect to each other wherever they are. What makes the meeting room in B1 unique is that customers can actually see the cross connects from there too.

As you can see from these two pictures, down at the security office on the ground floor of the data centre we have a number of the monitoring systems. These screens are in place for our 24 hour surveillance system. They keep the security guards (like Eddie who you can see here) up to date on what is going on around the data centre and around the globe.

As you can see one screen is dedicated to Sky news channel so that everyone in the facility can be notified if something capable of compromising the security of the facility is occurring in the surrounding area.
