Today we're checking out the most recent of our aerial shot series on the data centres. In this one we're showing you C1. From the photo above you might be able to make out the secure fence that surrounds the perimeter and the infra red posts just inside it.
The photo also shows you the three main areas of the data centre. The northern most part you can see is where the majority of the office space is. The middle section of roof gives you an idea of the size of the main data hall. Under this roof is the largest data hall of any of our data centres at approximately 1400²! The final section at the southern most end of the data centre is the mechanical electrical plant (MEP). This is where the generators, UPS and cooling equipment is stored.
This photo gives you an idea of the location of the data centre. The field in the bottom left is the head quarters of the Canberra Raiders rugby league team and just across the road is the up and coming Bruce residential precinct. C1 is the white building in the top right of the photo and about a kilometre to the right of frame is the Bruce substation. As you can imagine, we're pretty stoked with our new home in the ACT.
