Things have been looking very promising down at S1. Last night we were all ready for the first slab to be poured, and the weather forecast was positive. The retaining walls were in place and the rebar was in position.

But as seems to be the way this winter, those familiar ominous dark clouds rolled in, casting a depressingly dark shadow over the site.

As the first concrete spurted out of the pump into the lattice of the rebar, a light rain began to fall and it looked as though construction would again come to a halt.

However remaining vigilant, we continued pumping concrete and despite several difficulties, we are very proud announce that the first slab at S1 is now down.
