S1 - We're Dry and All Systems Go! |

We're in full swing now down at S1. The mud has dried and there is action across the whole site. Since we last checked in with Sydney, more of the lower ground floor slab has been poured, formwork has been installed, and we've finished excavating for the stormwater detention tank.
In the top photo you can see the guys in action with the pour. Weather permitting, this should be complete by the end of the week.
These last couple of days of dry weather have allowed us to begin installing the framework for the first suspended slab. You can see in the background of this second photo, more of the lower ground slab being poured as the formwork goes up. To keep the process moving along quickly, the formwork is being installed almost as soon as the concrete is dry.
In this final photo you can see we've finished the excavation and retaining wall for our onsite stormwater detention tank. Once the storm water detention tank is complete, we can temporarily store the rain that falls on the site so that it is less likely to pool up or flood the construction area. The water is then released slowly to have minimal impact.
