Here's a short video clip which demonstrates what happens during the piling process of a building site. As you can see in the video, a piling rig hammers a concrete beam into the ground - it is a slow and steady process. These piles will form part of the foundation for the building which will of course need to cater for extreme weight in a small area. Did you know that a fully loaded rack can weigh up to 1.5 tonnes? That's the weight of a car in about 1.2 cubic metres across an area of 0.642 square metres!
