Prior to joining NEXTDC, Gordon was Technical Director for Global Switch Asia-Pacific. He has worked with Global Switch since 2000, initially as Engineering Manager for Fletcher Construction where he headed the service team who designed and built Global Switch's Sydney data centre, and subsequently as a facility manager with M+W Zander and Multiplex FM. During that time he assisted in the development of the operational and maintenance procedures for the Sydney data centre and the 2003 completion of the Global Switch Amsterdam data centre.

Announcing Gordon’s appointment, Bevan Slattery, CEO of NEXTDC said Gordon added extensive technical and practical experience to NEXTDC’s team, which included his involvement in two substantial power upgrade projects and numerous fit-out projects at Global Switch Sydney and expansion of the Global Switch Singapore facility.

“We are incredibly excited that Gordon is joining the NEXTDC team,” he said.

“Gordon’s experience and reputation in the construction and management of premium data centre facilities in the Asia Pacific region is without peer and his leadership during the design, construction and operation phases of our facilities will be invaluable to NEXTDC and our customers.”

Gordon commences with the NEXTDC team in early 2011.

Gordon’s appointment follows the appointment of Mr Craig Scroggie as a non-executive director of NEXTDC announced earlier this week.
