CenturyLink expands hybrid IT reach via data centre ecosystem

A global leader in enterprise IT solutions, CenturyLink helps Australian companies on their journey to the cloud, with a comprehensive suite of managed hybrid IT offerings, include data centre colocation, managed hosting and services, cloud and network.

CenturyLink Regional Sales Director for ANZ, Stuart Mills, explains that hybrid IT is broadly accented by the industry and leading analysts such as Gartner and Forrester as the way of the future:

“Workloads don’t all belong on premise locations, if you don’t have the staff or the quality of the on-premise data centre, then you at least need to move into a colocation facility.”

When they entered the Australian market in early 2015, CenturyLink looked for a local data centre partner to provide a base for their operations and help them access Australian customers and partners.

CenturyLink saw connecting with the IT integrators hosted by NEXTDC as a way to help CenturyLink to both grow their business and service their Australian corporate customers. However, the broader benefit of their partnership with NEXTDC is that local customers are now able to access global colocation services in one of CenturyLink’s 60 facilities around the world.

“We’re very pleased with our partnership with NEXTDC. NEXTDC represents the same values that CenturyLink hold, and that’s all about mission critical hosting, high uptime, high performance and delivering services to the corporate and the partner markets.”
