NE1 Newman is NEXTDC’s 2nd Edge data centre in the Pilbara region. The facility is specifically designed to support Edge based operations, introducing improved cloud and long-haul corporate connectivity performance via highly resilient digital infrastructure to the operational edges of data-intensive industries such as telecommunications and mining. From support for advanced autonomous mines to interconnection with city-based remote operational centres, PH1 will enable accelerated digital transformation to Australia’s largest resources exploration, mining and export operations.

Connected directly to Perth and Port Hedland’s subsea cable landing station in NEXTDC’s PH1 Port Hedland data centre, NE1 offers low latency Multi-Cloud interconnection, 5G Network coverage and satellite connectivity. NE1 brings NEXTDC’s 100% uptime guarantee to one of the most remote geographies and extreme weather environments in the world, enabling technology innovation such as AI-driven, real-time data processing in proximity to the operational Edge.
