Craig Scroggie
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director
Craig Scroggie is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of NEXTDC, Australia’s leading Data-Centre-as-a-Service provider. Prior to becoming CEO in June 2012, Mr Scroggie served on the Board of Directors since IPO (2010) as a Non-Executive Director, including as Chairman of the Audit and Risk Management Committee.
Mr Scroggie has more than 25 years’ experience in the ICT industry, having held senior positions with Symantec, Veritas Software, Computer Associates, EMC Corporation and Fujitsu. Prior to joining NEXTDC, Mr Scroggie was Symantec’s Vice President & Managing Director for the Pacific Region.
Mr Scroggie currently serves on the Boards of Nitro (ASX:NTO) and Sovereign Cloud Holdings (ASX:SOV) and also serves on the University of Southern Queensland Business School Advisory Board and is Chairman of the La Trobe University Business School Advisory Board and holds the position of Adjunct Professor.
Mr Scroggie is a Graduate of the University of Southern Queensland and holds an Advanced Certificate in Information Technology, a Graduate Certificate in Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management, a Master of Business Administration; and is a Graduate and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
In 2013 Mr Scroggie was awarded the University of Southern Queensland Faculty of Business & Law Alumnus of the Year and in 2015 was inducted into the ARN ICT Industry Awards Hall of Fame

Simon Cooper
Chief Operating Officer
Simon is the Chief Operating Officer at NEXTDC, and is responsible for leading the company’s strategic direction in data centre design, development, construction, and driving the strategic business operational framework.
Before migrating to Australia with his family to join NEXTDC and help execute our strategic vision of becoming the most recognised, connected, and trusted data centre brand in Asia Pacific, Simon was based in Singapore where he directed Tata Communications investments in their international sub-sea network expansion and led the customer engineering and commercial solutions worldwide for Tata's wholesale portfolio.
Simon began his career as a Telecommunications Systems Engineer, working directly on a number of submarine cable projects with Cable & Wireless, before moving on to Level 3 Communications where he was responsible for driving their transmission network roll-out across the Atlantic and across Europe.
By leveraging his engineering expertise and experience, Simon expanded his influence to the operational side of the business. Simon ran Level 3’s service activation business across Europe before taking on their pan-European transport business P&L, all prior to his move to Singapore.
Simon holds an Electronic and Electrical Engineering Degree from Nottingham University. Simon’s professional abilities range from strategic relationship management and funding the development and delivery of large infrastructure projects, through to his extensive high-level technical and commercial knowledge and understanding of large scale critical infrastructure projects, and building operational organisations to support them.

Oskar Tomaszewski
Chief Financial Officer
Oskar is responsible for driving the Finance and Business Operating functions at NEXTDC, including financial reporting, budgeting, investment review and group funding as well as investor relations.
As a highly respected member of the global finance industry, Oskar brings 15 years of investment banking and corporate advisory experience in Australia and the United Kingdom. Oskar is highly regarded for his extensive experience in debt and equity capital raising, M&A and strategic business planning having successfully completed transactions across a range of industries, including Technology, Media and Telecommunications.
Prior to joining NEXTDC, Oskar held senior positions at a number of global investment banks including Lazard, UBS and Robert Baird and Co. in the United Kingdom.
Oskar holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Business degree with Distinction from the University of Otago in New Zealand.

David Dzienciol
Chief Customer and Commercial Officer
David is a highly accomplished executive with a distinguished career in Australia and across Asia Pacific.
David has extensive experience in the technology industry, including Cloud computing, data centre and colocation, Cloud brokerage services, new market entry and risk management. As NEXTDC’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, David is responsible for the end-to-end customer experience and lifecycle, and driving the strategic direction for NEXTDC's revenue and customer facing organisation, which comprises the sales, marketing, delivery, security, products, customer experience and customer success teams.
NEXTDC is widely known for their commitment to providing best-in-class quality and exemplary service to organisations. As a customer-first organisation, David works closely with NEXTDC’s key customers and verticals, leveraging his comprehensive understanding of the customer and industry, to closely align the corporate and customer strategy. David champions a strategic approach to partnering, working closely with NEXTDC’s customers to support their long-term cloud and transformation strategies, and helping them to achieve their desired outcomes.
David’s focus is building a unified voice of the customer across the organisation, with a close focus on deepening customer engagement and partner relationships.
Prior to joining NEXTDC, David was based in Hong Kong as the Vice President and General Manager, at Parallels, a virtualisation and cloud automation technology company.
Before his time at Parallels, David held several senior positions at Symantec where he achieved tremendous growth and success for the business. David was instrumental in establishing Symantec in ANZ as a leading provider of security and storage solutions. His most recent position was Vice President – Sales (Channel/SMB/GSP) in APJ. Prior to that, David was the Senior Director – Enterprise Sales and Partners in APAC, responsible for driving revenue and operational best practice in the enterprise and channel business across ANZ.

Ellie Whitton
Head of People and Culture
Ellie is responsible for driving the Company’s human capital strategy to support the attraction, engagement, growth and development of NEXTDC’s talent.
To ensure the NEXTDC team lives the company values and continues to deliver on our objective to have the right people and capabilities to deliver on the ambitious goals we set ourselves, Ellie’s role encompasses all facets of People & Culture including recruitment, employee engagement, talent management, organisational change and development, reward and recognition.
Ellie is passionate about empowering leaders and elevating the leadership capabilities that drive the Company’s high-performance culture which is underpinned by strong company values.
Ellie’s extensive background in Human Resources and expertise in Organisational Change Management fuels her dedication to effectively lead people through times of change so they are well positioned to adapt and succeed.
Ellie is recognised in the ICT industry as a HR Rising Star and was a finalist in the ARN Women in ICT awards.
Ellie holds a Bachelor of Business (Human Resources) and a Bachelor of Journalism and is an accredited Prosci Organisational Change Manager.

Adam Scully
Vice President, Customer and Commercial
Adam Scully is Vice President for the Customer and Commercial organisation. Working closely with the Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, Adam spearheads NEXTDC’s customer retention strategy and delivers the commercial excellence needed to support NEXTDC's rich customer and partner ecosystem.
Customer first is one of NEXTDC’s core company values and Adam draws on his 30 years of experience in various senior sales leadership positions to ensure NEXTDC delivers an exceptional experience and best-in-value services to our channel partners and customers.
Adam has a strong background in the technology industry, with experience spanning more than 15 years within leading companies such as Symantec and IBM. Prior to entering the ICT industry Adam spent 16 years in the commercial real estate and construction industry. When teamed with NEXTDC’s world-class solutions, Adam is uniquely positioned to help our customer and partner community to build holistic enterprise-grade solutions that solve complex organisational challenges.
Adam holds a Master of Management degree from the University of Wollongong and is appointed an Advisory Board member for DataCenter Dynamics.

Michael Helmer
Chief Legal Officer

Michael Helmer is responsible for the strategic management and guidance of NEXTDC's legal affairs, compliance and company secretarial functions.
Michael has over 25 years' experience in the legal sector with a strong record of advising, growing and successfully completing transactions for technology and ecommerce businesses, both listed and private. Until joining the Company, Michael was serving as Director of Legal Services (Asia Pacific) for global software maker Symantec, where he and his team were responsible for advising on ecommerce, technology licensing, cyber-security and litigation throughout the region as well as supporting the executive, sales and engineering teams.
Previously, Michael was based in London at specialist technology and IP firm Field Fisher Waterhouse. Michael has held senior legal roles in Barclays, Accenture, Coles Myer and was General Counsel at European on-line shopping site shopsmart.com as well as at Australian anti-malware maker PC Tools.
Michael is a seasoned strategic advisor with deep knowledge in the legal and compliance environments in which technology and ecommerce businesses operate. This is particularly focussed on their commercial environment, IP development & licensing, e-commerce, data security & privacy, corporate advisory & compliance as well as M&A and capital raising.
Michael has obtained a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Science (Monash) and is admitted as a legal practitioner in Australia and in England and Wales. Michael is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and has served as their Victorian President (ACLA) as well as a member of its National Board. Michael holds a Certificate in Governance Practice and is a Fellow of the Australian Governance Institute (FGIA). He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a graduate of their Company Directors course (GAICD).

Jeff Arndt
Chief Information Officer
Jeff is responsible for leading NEXTDC’s information technology and software development strategies ensuring the creation and management of market leading digital platforms.
Jeff leads the strategic development of NEXTDC’s customer and employee engagement systems and digital platforms which enable NEXTDC to deliver an exceptional experience. Jeff also spearheads the strategy around NEXTDC’s market differentiating digital products and best-in-class services.
Jeff brings with him 25 years of experience in information technology and software with extensive information security and business transformation acumen across a diverse background of enterprises including global corporate and technology organisations.
Prior to joining NEXTDC, Jeff was the Group General Manager at Hills Limited within the technology division where he was responsible for leading the company’s transformation programs from a legacy manufacturing business to a leading technology provider.
Prior to Hills Jeff held senior technology, business development and project leadership roles for Symantec Corporation, Hewlett Packard, Telstra and Getronics.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Computer Science) from Swinburne University.

Jeffrey D. Van Zetten
Chief of Engineering and Design
Jeffrey is responsible for the design, performance, and energy-efficiency of NEXTDC’s world-leading data centres. As the leader of NEXTDC’s Engineering and Design team and innovation engine, Jeff’s direction has positioned NEXTDC as the first data centre provider in Australia to build a national network of Tier III and Tier IV Certified facilities for both Design and Construction, the platform upon which NEXTDC became the first data centre operator in the Southern Hemisphere to achieve Tier IV Gold Certification for Operational Sustainability – the highest level of independent reliability certification that can be achieved globally. Jeffrey’s commissioning and energy tuning leadership also enabled NEXTDC to become Australia’s first and only NABERS 5-star data centre infrastructure energy efficiency certified operator.
A well-respected leader by the global Engineering community, Jeffrey was acknowledged by peak engineering industry group, Engineers Australia in 2018, as one of the country’s top 30 most innovative engineers having led NEXTDC’s world leading design.
Prior to joining NEXTDC, Jeffrey was based in Singapore for 10 years which included a tenure as the Asia Pacific Technical Director for a leading high-performance global buildings technology company introducing innovative patented energy saving technology throughout Asia Pacific. While based in Singapore, he was also the company’s lead for a number of successful energy-efficient, high tech mega projects across Asia Pacific, such as the multi-billion dollar Marina Bay Sands. Jeffrey also had a tenure of 2 years in California, USA, working on research and development of new patented technologies.
Jeffrey has extensive experience in design, on-site commissioning and troubleshooting data centre and other major projects throughout Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America.
Jeffrey has been awarded an Australian Innovation Patent for an energy saving solution for data centre design which is the basis of his current research-based PhD candidature. He holds an Honours Degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, is an Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer, a Chartered Professional Engineer, Registered Member of Engineers Australia and RPEQ. Jeffrey has received industry accolades by global industry experts Datacenter Dynamics and Uptime Institute. Jeffrey’s expertise led the NEXTDC Engineering and Design team to win the 2014 Data Centre Dynamics APAC award for innovation of the mega data centre awarded in Singapore, The 2018 Datacenter Dynamics Global award for the Design Team of the Year awarded in London and the 2015 Uptime Institute Brill award for efficient IT awarded in Silicon Valley, USA.

Olivia Moriarty
Chief of Staff
Olivia is responsible for leading the company’s strategic planning and execution framework.
Olivia brings extensive experience running the Executive office at NEXTDC for seven years, prior to her role as Chief of Staff. She is well respected for her ability to build and lead teams, enhancing the skills and expertise of staff.
Olivia is known for her passion and precision in leading the synchronisation of the leadership group and her ability to promote cross functional collaboration across the organisation, in order to support continued growth and excellence company wide.
Olivia is a project management professional who specialises in the Prosci Change Management methodology. Olivia’s expertise helps facilitate organisational transition and assists the people side of change, ensuring the NEXTDC team understand, accept, embrace and commit to changes within the organisation as it continues its growth trajectory.
Prior to joining NEXTDC, Olivia worked for the Queensland State Government running HR & Executive office related roles.

Douglas Flynn

Australian Douglas Flynn graduated in chemical engineering from the University of Newcastle, New South Wales. He received an MBA with distinction from Melbourne University in 1979. During his university years he had a number of scholarships including Commonwealth, Commonwealth Postgraduate and Steel Industry Scholarship.
He joined ICI Australia in 1975 and enjoyed a decade with them working on project engineering, sales and marketing, business management in their explosives division and strategic planning for the wider group in Australia. He also spent three years running a division with ICI China based in Hong Kong.
After a spell in management consultancy to media companies he became Chief Executive of newspaper publisher Davies Brothers Limited in 1987. Davies Brothers was listed on the Australian stock exchange and was acquired by News Corporation in 1989. A year after the acquisition he was appointed Managing Director of News Limited Suburban Newspapers.
In 1994 he went to London as Deputy Managing Director of News International Newspapers Ltd the UK newspaper publisher and European holding company for News Corporation. In January 1995 he became a director of News International Plc. In March 1995 he was appointed Managing Director of News International Plc.
In early 1998 he joined the Aegis Group plc board as a non executive director. Aegis Group plc is a marketing services company operating in some sixty countries. In September 1999 he became Chief Executive of Aegis Group Plc where he was instrumental in doubling the size of the company and established a global market research business Synovate and internet services business Isobar.
In April 2005 he joined Rentokil Initial Plc, a global business services company, as Chief Executive and after an extensive restructuring of the company’s portfolio and balance sheet and organisation left the company in April 2008 and returned to Australia later that year.
He is currently Chairman of ImexHS Limited a medical technology business in imaging software based in Latin America.
And has held a number of past directorships in Australia;

Dr Gregory Clark AC

Dr Gregory J Clark AC is a world-renowned technologist, businessman and scientist, with extensive corporate and Board experience in Australia, the USA and Europe.
Dr Clark was previously on the Board of the ANZ Banking Group where he chaired the Board’s Technology Committee and was a member of the Risk, Governance and Human Resources Committees.
Dr Clark brings to the Board international business experience and a distinguished career in micro-electronics, computing and communications. He was previously Principal of Clark Capital Partners, a US based firm that has advised internationally on technology and the technology marketplace.
During his career, Dr Clark also held senior executive roles at IBM, News Corporation and Loral Space and Communications. At IBM he was a senior scientist in their Research Division in NY. At News Corporation he was President of Technology and on the Executive Committee with responsibility for all technical aspects of digital media creation and delivery. Dr Clark was responsible for News Corporation’s transformation of its media assets from an analogue platform into a digital platform for both program creation and delivery. In addition, he was responsible for all technology companies within News Corporation.
He was President and Chief Operating Officer at Loral Space and Communications, the world’s largest commercial satellite manufacturer and one of the largest operators, with responsibility for all development, manufacturing, marketing and sales. While at News Corporation and Loral Space and Communications, Dr Clark was Chairman and/or on the Board of a number of wholly owned subsidiaries including NDS, Globalstar, SatMex, Skynet, SpaceSystemLoral, Kesmai, Etak and others.

Jennifer Lambert
Non-Executive Director
Chair of the Audit and Risk Management Committee
Jennifer has extensive business and leadership experience at senior executive and board level with more than 25 years of financial management and accounting experience.
Currently a Non-Executive Director of BlueScope Steel Limited where she is Chair of the Audit Committee, Ms Lambert is also a non-executive director of Mission Australia and a number of other not for profit entities.
Ms Lambert was Group Chief Financial Officer of 151 Property (formerly Valad Property Group) for 13 years where her responsibilities included operational and strategic finance, tax, treasury, legal and compliance. Prior to this, Ms Lambert was a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers specialising in capital raisings, structuring and due diligence for acquisitions and disposals across various industries.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Finance) from University of Technology Sydney and Master of Economics from Macquarie University. Her professional associations include being a member of The Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Dr Eileen Doyle
Non-Executive Director

Dr Doyle has had an internationally recognised career with close to four decades of diverse business experience at both executive and board level.
Her experience covers a wide range of industries including logistics, port operations, research, property, financial services, manufacturing, building and construction.
Dr Doyle has previously served as the Chairman of the world’s largest export coal loader, PWCS (1998-2009) and Deputy Chairman of CSIRO to 2016, after 10 years of service.
Dr Doyle currently serves on the Board of DBI (2020), Santos (2021) and Airservices Australia (2021) with previous appointments having included directorships at GPT Group (2010-2019), Boral (2010-2019), State Super Financial Services (2002-2009), Ross Human Directions Limited (2005–2010), The Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (2008–2018), Knights Rugby League Ltd (2014–2017) and Bradken Limited (2011–2015). In many of her roles she has also acted as a Chairman or member on the Audit, Governance and Sustainability Committees.
Dr Doyle’s experience also includes appointments at major government bodies Austrade (1999–2005), CSIRO, Newcastle Port Corporation (2001–2002), the National Steering Committee on eHealth and the NSW Innovation and Productivity Council.
Dr Doyle holds a Ph.D. in Applied Statistics from the University of Newcastle, was a Fulbright Scholar (Business Management: Columbia University), is a fellow of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (FTSE inducted 2016) and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD).
Dr Doyle is also a Foundation Fellow of The Australian Association of Angel Investors (FAAAI) and the author of “Call a Business Angel”.

Stuart Davis

Stuart has over 30 years’ experience as an international banker with the HSBC Group including roles in Hong Kong, New York, Taiwan, India and Australia. Most recently he was CEO India for the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (2009-2012), CEO and Executive Director for HSBC Bank Australia Limited (2002-2009) and CEO HSBC Taiwan (1999-2002). He was a member of the Australian Bankers Association from 2002 to 2009 and Deputy Chairman from 2006 to 2009.
Stuart holds a LLB from Adelaide University and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Steve Smith

Steve Smith is widely respected amongst the global ICT community. Steve has a deep background and expertise in managing market leading technology businesses, particularly in the data centre industry.
Based in Colorado, Steve is the CEO of Zayo Group, a leading network solutions provider in North America and Western Europe. Prior to joining Zayo, Steve was a Managing Director at GI Partners, a US based investment fund focussed on data centre, data transport, wireless and tech-enabled infrastructure investments in North America.
Steve also served as the CEO and President of Equinix Inc for over a decade (2007-2018), transforming it into the largest enterprise data centre platform in the world. Under Steve’s leadership Equinix grew from 17 data centres operating in 10 markets and a US $2 billion market cap, to approximately 200 data centres with a US$38 billion market cap and operations in 24 countries on five continents.
Prior to his time at GI Partners and Equinix, Steve held senior leadership positions at Hewlett Packard (2005- 2006) which included serving as its Senior Vice President - Worldwide HP Services; Lucent Technologies Inc. (2004- 2005), where he was appointed as Vice President, Global Professional and Managed Services and Electronic Data Systems Corporation (EDS) (1987-2004), where he served in a number of capacities including Chief Sales Officer and President, Asia-Pacific.
Steve also had a successful eight-year career in the U.S. Army where, among other roles, he was aide de-camp to the office of the Commander in Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces in the Pacific. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
