In today’s digital landscape 99% isn’t good enough, and NEXTDC are the only data centre provider in the country independently verified and certified to deliver your business a 100% uptime guarantee.
House your critical IT services close to the cloud and digital services that drive business growth whether you need 1/4 rack to an entire data hall, NEXTDC's ecosystem of clouds, networks, and IT service providers ensures security and optimal connectivity.
A rack is a standardized frame or cabinet used for holding and organizing IT equipment, such as servers, switches, and routers. A rack unit (RU) is a standard measurement for the height of a rack-mounted piece of equipment, with one RU equal to 1.75 inches or 44.45 millimeters.
This depends on the number and size of the servers and other IT equipment you have. A 1U server, for example, can fit in a single rack unit, while a larger server may require 4U or more. Some larger equipment chassis can take up to 20RU.
A full rack can accommodate up to 42U-45RU (site dependent).
At NEXTDC, the key difference is the amount of equipment that can be installed and the power consumed. All rack space sold by NEXTDC is segregated with it's own IDAC controlled access and dedicated power rails.
A BYOR option allows customers to bring their own rack to the data center, providing complete control over the equipment and configuration. This option can be ideal for customers who have specialized equipment or configurations that are not readily available from the data center.
Examples include AWS Outpost racks, legacy Mainframes or pre-equipped manufacturer racks.
NEXTDC offers a variety of power and cooling options to meet customer needs. All racks are supplied with A+B redundant power supplies for guaranteed 100% uptime. All infrastructure is supported by redundant UPS and backup power generators.
With rack densities up to 80kW already supported in NEXTDC facilities, a wide range of cooling approaches are available. Air and liquid cooling are both available and can be customised to your specific needs.
Customised to meet unique industry or organisational requirements.
Uptime Institute Tier III and Tier IV facilities with 100% uptime guarantee.
