Datacom, one of Australasia’s largest independent business technology solutions providers, has signed a national agreement with NEXTDC that will allow the company to provide colocation services in NEXTDC data centres across Australia.

The agreement sees Datacom committing to space in NEXTDC’s new UTI Tier III-certified P1 Perth data centre with an initial pod of 24 racks for the exclusive use of Datacom customers.  This expands Datacom’s existing data centre capability by enabling the delivery of flexible colocation services and access to dual data centre solutions for customers in each state capital across Australia.

Datacom has also recently completed a multi-million dollar upgrade of its existing Perth data centre to deliver additional capacity and the agreement with NEXTDC will complement and extend the breadth of data centre solutions that it is already providing to clients. The two data centres are connected via high speed, redundant telecommunication links.

NEXTDC CEO Craig Scroggie said “This nationwide agreement with Datacom and their investment in connecting to our P1 facility has delivered powerful new service options to our existing customers and a new level of capacity and reliability for Datacom’s clients, whom we are proud to welcome to our national data centre network.

Basil Lenzo, Datacom WA Director said, “The agreement with NEXTDC not only enables Datacom to extend our data centre solutions to our client base without capacity restrictions but also to provide our existing data centre clients with access to dual data centre solutions.”

Datacom has nine data centres across APAC with access to additional capacity in a further eight, third party owned facilities.  Datacom is able to provide fully integrated IT solutions that comprise data centre services, managed services, telecommunication and cloud services.
