Customer Support - Getting Set Up

Getting Set Up

To help get you set up and ready to move into your chosen NEXTDC data centre, below are 3 simple steps to make your migration a breeze.

Get to know your ONEDC Portal

ONEDC is your own, highly secure customer portal that offers the convenience of single sign-on. Follow the authentication process below to activate your SSO:

  • Agree to the ONEDC Terms and Conditions
  • Authenticate against your Azure active directory. ONEDC uses Azure active directory for single sign-on. For users not on Azure active directory, you can create a private Azure tenancy for ONEDC single sign-on authentication.
  • Confirm your contact information. This is the contact email address for all ONEDC communications. This can be changed after authenticating.

Once you have completed your account authentication you can access ONEDC to complete the following:

  • Order Cross Connects and Structured Cabling for your environment
  • Set up your team in ONEDC
  • Establish your team permissions
  • Request online inductions for your staff accessing your data centre - further information available here.

Move in day checklist

To ensure smooth access to the facility and get you ready for move in day, there are a few items that you may need to complete first. Specifically, before you move in it is important that you have considered and completed the following:

  • Ordered connectivity and/or structured cabling
  • Book equipment deliveries (for security reasons delivery bookings MUST be made ahead of time)
  • Organise help moving in from our skilled data centre technicians
  • To ensure your environment operates at the highest resilience levels, we have created a step-by-step rack installation best practice guide. Your best practice guide will be located inside your rack upon service commencement.  Download a copy.

Watch these videos to help tick off these items through ONEDC or contact our Customer Support Team for assistance:

Service Activation

Congratulations your NEXTDC service is now provisioned and you can start accessing your racks and see them in ONEDC where you can track their power, usage, temperature and control access permissions.

If you haven’t already installed your gear, remember to do so with your exhaust fans facing the red door (the hot aisle) and don’t forget to power your gear from both power rails to ensure redundancy.

Your billing period

Your billing period for your service starts from your commencement date and all invoices will be sent to your finance team unless otherwise specified. You can find more information about your invoices here.
