The Directors of NEXTDC Limited (ASX:NXT) ("the Company" or "NEXTDC") are pleased to announce that the Company received a Certificate of Classification (COC) in relation to its Brisbane facility (B1) last Friday, 7 October 2011.
A COC is a document resulting from a final building inspection which specifies a building’s classification and describes the way it can be used. A COC is issued under the Building Act 1975 (Qld) once the building certifier is satisfied that the building is substantially complete.
“I would like to congratulate everyone involved in this complex and challenging project, including NEXTDC’s technical team who displayed outstanding professionalism and dedication in delivering this enterprise-class facility in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD”, said Mr Bevan Slattery, CEO of NEXTDC.
“B1 showcases technological innovation including efficiency, high availability and superior security that aims to redefine the Australian data centre market. NEXTDC’s customers will be serviced by the customer-centric flexible and scalable delivery model implemented in B1.
NEXTDC will be offering racks, blocks and private suites at B1 supported by the facility’s superior connectivity and independent ecosystem. Pre-committed customers are expected to start moving in within next few weeks”, added Mr Slattery.
